Snorkeling in the Red Sea

The other day was snorkeling day!!! At 9am sharp, we were given our snorkeling gear and climbed onto our own private boat. Luckily, we didn’t have to share it with the Russian tourists taking over the resort and beach for the last few days. We were decked out in the latest of Red Sea fashion, a mask, snorkel and flippers. Duncan and Katie are really good models, but I would have to say that Meg has perfected the look.

A few of our group had never been snorkeling before and were a little nervous. But all was forgotten with the sights under the surface of the Red Sea. We got to see so many different kinds of fish who would swim right up to us, not to mention the coral of all different shapes and colors. We even got to see a moray eel in a ship wreck! Our snorkeling sessions were only interrupted by the most delicious lunch and a little bit of tanning time. We ended the day, by jumping off of the top level of the boat and just swimming and playing in the sea. Overall, I’d say that it was a day well spent.Image
